Showcase: Weathered Black Templars Vindicator

Welcome to Army of One, where I display a great looking painted model from stuff I’ve done or amazing figures I’ve seen around.

If you click on the Army of One label you’ll be able to scroll through some great looking figures, all at once.

Today we take a look at Jkin’s incredibly detailed Black Templar Vindicator

He put a ton of time into this thing, edging the whole vehicle in grey, repainting white back over black, and using powders to weather the vehicle as well.

Here is a good shot of all the work done to this Land Raider Crusader. Jkin used many styles and techniques that blend together into a very good looking vehicle that any gamer would be proud to own.

Checkout the weathering work Jkin did here. Looks like someone drove though some serious business recently! I’m impressed! Anyone else wish their Tanks looked like this? -MBG

Jkin was also the mad converter that brought us the Stormtalon Helicopter, so be sure to checkout the rest of Jkin’s amazing conversions and paint jobs here!

Bio: Virginia restless, miniature painter & cat dad. He blames LEGOs for all this, as there was something about those little-colored blocks that started it all. Spikey Bits sprung from Rob staying motivated to hobby on his backlog of projects, while sharing his knowledge with others during the early blogging era.

LEGO maniac and scale model hobbyist in the 80s turned miniature wargamer and trading card player ever since. He’s played every edition of Warhammer 40k and Warhammer Fantasy (since 5th Edition), but Titans of all sizes will always be his favorite! It’s even rumored that his hobby vault rivals the Solemnance Galleries, containing rulebooks filled with lore from editions long past, ancient packs of black-bordered Magic Cards, and minatures made of pewter and resin.
