Wanna buy a license from Games Workshop? Well GW has set aside a couple of dates for events to help them spread the reach of their products on the trade side of things.
With Warhammer growing as much as it is, it’s no surprise that Games Workshop is trying to bring Warhammer into more of the commercial and big box stores in the US. These dates are events that they plan on attending in order to expand the reach of their products.
Multiple Industry Sources have confirmed to Spikey Bits that GW will be at the following trade events in the US this year, up from just one a year ago in Las Vegas.
Toy Fair, February 18th – 21st
Javits Convention Center, New York City, NY
Toyfest West, March 5th – 7th
South Point Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas, NV
Education Expo, March 15th – 17th
Wesgate Resort & Casino, Las Vegas, NV
Astra Marketplace, June 25th – 28th
Pennsylvania Convention Center, Philadelphia, PA
Why are they going so hard in the paint selling licenses in 2017, perhaps because of the split with Fantasy Flight Games, or something else?
What does this mean for the future of Games Workshop? Is this going to make acquiring the product easier?
Either how, they’re making moves to extend their reach in this consumer driven market, and it definitely can’t hurt them or our constantly growing community. Let us know your thoughts, we’d like to hear what you have to say.
