The new Tartaros Terminator Squad is coming this week and they have some new rules that are a possible game changer. Don’t miss these new rules for 40k!

The new Terminator are due to be released this week, but a lucky few have already received their copies, and they’ve been kind enough to share. Let’s take a look at the pics sent to us by Scanner.

The cost is remaining the same at 175 points for a squad of 5. You have a couple options as far as different weapons you can replace, and the Tartaros Sergeant can replace his combi-bolter with either a Volkite charger or plasma blaster (and is master crafted for free).

Plus They have the And They Shall Know No Fear, Chapter Tactics, and Combat Squads special rules and no restrictions on sweeping advances it looks like?Taratos Terminator Rules

So everything in their rules section looks to be new to 40k. The optional weapon upgrades have ranges varying from 15″ all the way up to 36″. The Combi-Bolter is pretty balanced with a 24″ range, Strength 4, AP 5, Rapid-Fire, and Twin-linked, can’t really complain there. That and the Reaper Autocannon used to be “Chaos Only” for termies, but not the loyalists have had it handed down to them as well.

Deflagrate is a nice weapon with an interesting feature that has been ported over from 30k. After the normal attacks have been resolved, count the number of unsaved Wounds on the target unit, and you can immediately resolve that number of additional automatic hits on the same unit using the weapon’s profile in the amount of the unsaved Wounds. The unit target unit must still be in range for these hits to take effect, and these do not trigger more hits.

Grenade Harness is an Assault 2, Blast weapon with an 8″ range, Strength 3. A model fires it’s Grenade Harness in addition to another weapon. For models in the wearer’s unit they do not suffer the penalty to their initiative for charging enemies through difficult terrain, and fight at their normal initiative in the ensuing combat. This really makes for an aggressive unit!
