Age of Sigmar is still a fairly new game, and some rules are still be figured out. Well, now it looks like the Behemoth Role is dropped on certain models!
So there’s a couple units in the Generals Handbook that have a nice little note attached to them. Battleline if army has ______.
Beastclaw Raiders are pictured below just to give an example.
One user of the Age of Sigmar app had a very interesting question to ask. Do these units lose Behemoth and gain Battleline?
This is a BIG game changer for a lot of people. Instead of being limited on the amount of Stonehorns you can bring, all you have to do is bring the Beastclaw Raiders Allegiance and it’s open season! We haven’t seen many people running this in their lists, maybe this will clear up some of the confusion and we’ll start to see more of these units on the tabletop. Can you imagine 5+ Behemoth models in a 2,000 point game?
What are your thoughts? Will you be changing up your lists to bring more of these “Behemoth”units? Even if you’re not going to, that doesn’t mean your neighborhood friendly Beastclaw player won’t be bringing an entire army of Stonehorns. This will definitely have us taking a little extra time when putting lists together to go against armies such as these. Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
(Editors Note: This was also cleared up with the new Azyr app for Age of Sigmar that clearly removed the Behemoth role from multiple big baddies if they meet certain faction requirements, most notably for the Beastclaw Raiders. Check the app for your faction’s restrictions to see if they are affected)
