Secrets of the New Chaos Death Guard Miniatures REVEALED?

These early leaks of the new Deathguard paints hinted at something big on the horizon, now we know just how big this reveal is!

First off remember the new new listings for Deathguard Green and Nurgling Green! from their Christmas catalog?

Deathguard Paints

The they GW team at Adepticon teased us with the new Death Guard miniatures for Chaos:

Perhaps the Plague Planet is the setting for a new campaign guide?  Gathering Storm 4 perhaps?

These new Deathguard are sporting some amazing new corrupted Legionary armor and what looks like some Nurgle infested weapons.  Is that a plague censor?

Mark of Nurgle shoulder icons and some beat up Legionary armor!  It looks like this guy is mixing and matching his armor styles!

Nurgle Plague cultists!  These guys look disgusting!  Is that a Plague Zombie on the left?

Check out this guy’s pistol!  Are Volkite weapons making the transition to 40K?

Similar to the Warp cannons on the new Thousand Sons terminators, this seems to be another variant of the old Reaper Autocannon infested with Nurgle!  This terminator seems to be sporting a hodgepodge of both legion Terminator plate and the newer Dominus style Terminator plate.  We’re hoping this is its own kit and not just a bolt-on!

Who could this scythe belong to?  We hope its Mortarion!

And now the video for all of you that weren’t at the event, here is GW’s big reveal without the juicy details:

Wow!

It’s been a long time since we saw any new miniatures for Plague Marines, or Nurgle-worshipping Chaos Space Marines of any sort, for Warhammer 40,000, but it has certainly been worth it. Clearly not to be outdone by the recent return of their allies/rivals of the Thousand Sons, the unyielding warriors of Barbarus are returning, and they never looked so good.*

Remember how we said this was going to be the best year of Warhammer 40,000 ever?

We weren’t lying.

*Well, we guess, depending on how you look at it, to some people’s eye, they probably looked better before that whole infected-with-warp-borne-plague thing, but from a miniatures perspective, these are phenomenal.
