The Boxed Game AvP – The Hunt Begins is a self-contained gaming experience, a fusion of mission and narrative driven Board Game and Table Top War Game. A family game where 1 or more players can sit down and play through their own narrative and develop their own characters and objectives over many inter-linked games. Or players can sit down and play a ‘free for all’ with games like ‘Survival’, ‘Last human/Alien/Predator standing’, ‘capture the objective’ etc. filling an hour or two of your evening or raining Sunday afternoon.
Clocking in at around $100 US, this amazing new version of the Alien VS Predator game is a real bargain! Everything about this game is super polished and the high quality of its manufacture stands out! From the outstanding full color rulebook to the high strength card stock with gloss finish on the tiles, everything in this box is extremely well constructed.
We here at Spikey bits haven’t had a chance to play this new version of the game, but we’ve heard from many sources that the 2nd edition is a significantly streamlined version. Many improvements to both speed of play and clarity of rules make were made, along with some absolutely killer models. The box game comes with miniatures for all three factions, Colonial Marines, Xenomorphs, and Predators. The miniatures are fantastically detailed and are made of an extremely durable resin that holds its shape extremely well.
The box comes with a layer of precut foam with storage slots for every miniature and all your dice and game parts! Each faction is made out of colored resin to instantly identify which they belong to, along with all the models being pre-assembled means you can get started playing straight out of the box!
Alongside the core box set are a ton of different expansions adding iconic units like the Alien Facehugger, the Colonial Marines Power Loader, or Predator Hunting parties. These models come with extra missions and new ways to play the game!
