Checkout the new terrain rules for Warhammer 40k that were just spotted in the Moon Base Klaisus battlefield in a box set.
Scanner is at it again and this time we’re getting a look at the rules that are coming with the new Moon Base Klaisus battlefield in a box. The box features a 6’x4′ game mat, terrain, and some new scenarios to give your game a little twist.
The new terrain rules simply state that if the attacking unit is closer to the ruin than the defending unit, the defending unit will receive the benefit of cover. However, if the attacking unit is closer to the defending unit than the ruin they do not receive the benefit of cover, even if they have all of their models within 1″ of the ruin.
This seems to be just a way of measuring to find out if the ruin is in between the two units on the battlefield.
Another neat feature is going to be the Sentries for some of the missions in the box. Sentries are going to be your first line of defense, warning you of an enemy approaching its location. The defender will need an extra unit of models, it can consist of up to ten models and must have a Power Level rating of 10 or less. The Sentries Power Level is excluded when you are calculating the total Power Level of your army.
The set up of the Sentries will be explained in the mission rules. If a Sentry spots an enemy unit their turn ends after the action that caused them to get spotted, and there’s a chart that shows you the range the Sentries will spot a model depending on their Power Level.
