Horus HeresyIt looks like we have a new game on the way for iOS and Android users. Horus Heresy: Legions is now taking applications for its closed beta.

Games Workshop has teamed up with Everguild to create the new Horus Heresy: Legions collectible card game for iOS and Android users. But who is Everguild?

Everguild Logo

Everguild Ltd. is an independent game studio operating from the UK and Spain, committed to making deep and polished games with a never-seen-before twist. Everguild is currently focused on mastering the CCG genre on mobile, with its acclaimed first title, ‘Drakenlords: CCG Card Duels’, and the upcoming ‘The Horus Heresy: Legions’, based on Games Workshop®’s renowned setting, The Horus Heresy®.

Now that we know a little about the company developing Horus Heresy: Legions, let’s take a look at what this new mobile card game will be about.

Horus Heresy Legions

Dust off your Bolter, polish your Power Armour and relive the glory of the 31st Millennium in honourable card-to-card combat. Everguild and Games Workshop have unveiled The Horus Heresy: Legions, a new collectible card game coming to iOS and Android.

The Horus Heresy: Legions starts at the beginning of a civil war pitting the famed Legiones Astartes against each other. Players will build decks to do battle, join a warrior lodge with other players, and take part together in epic Events where the winning Faction will establish real, permanent game-changing effects.

“The game takes place during an incredibly tragic, action-packed period in the Imperium’s history,” said Andres Tallos, CEO of Everguild. “We are making sure to immerse players in this amazing setting, with a campaign and regular events that will gradually unveil all the main episodes and protagonists in this galactic conflict. Player actions will play a part in defining how the game evolves, letting them feel the weight of choosing sides and living with the consequences, just as much as the characters of this
universe.”

“The Horus Heresy has produced a string of New York Times best-selling novels, stunning Forge World models and several board and video games,” said Erik Mogensen, Licensing Commercial Manager at Games Workshop. “With The Horus Heresy: Legions our fans will be able to experience this legendary war in a whole new way. Playing as Loken, Khârn, Fulgrim and many more of their favourite characters they can fight key battles from one of the richest settings in the vast Warhammer 40,000 universe.”

The game will launch on iOS and Android in early 2018. Everguild is currently looking for players for a Closed Beta. You may visit www.horusheresylegions.com to sign up.

The closed beta is going to be a great way for fans to get an early taste of the new CCG, while helping the developers work out bugs before the launch. If you feel you would make a good addition to the beta testing team, be able to provide good feedback on bugs and glitches, then head over and fill out the quick application on the Horus Heresy: Legions page.

This game looks like it’s going to be a lot of fun overall, bringing the Horus Heresy lore into a card game that is packed with regular events, a campaign, and head to head action. Make sure you check back in with us for the latest updates on the upcoming game.
