T-47 Airspeeder Unit Expansion $29.95

star wars legion airspeeder 2

When the Rebel Alliance first landed on Hoth, they found a cold and inhospitable planet—ill-suited to supporting life of any kind, much less hosting the secret base of a full-scale rebellion against the Galactic Empire. Still, the Rebellion survived, adapting their strategies, tactics, and equipment to deal with the oppressive environment. A crucial part of their survival was tinkering with their airspeeders to withstand the killing cold of Hoth. Soon, you’ll be able to outfit your Rebels with the same speeders!

You may be battling the Empire on the frozen wastes of Hoth, or you may be fighting on the surface of any other planet, across the thousands of planets that make up the galaxy. No matter where you are, there’s always good reason for you to get a little air superiority. The T-47 Airspeeder Unit Expansion for Star Wars™: Legion adds one T-47 airspeeder miniature to your Rebel armies. Along with the beautifully sculpted, unpainted miniature, you’ll find all the unit cards and upgrade cards that you need to make the T-47 airspeeder a crucial part of your battle for freedom.

The T-47 Airspeeder comes with one plastic miniature, one unit card, five upgrade cards, ten tokens, and a rule sheet. It comes with two different weapon options. The Airspeeder has armor, arsenal two, cover one, immune to blast and melee, and speeder two. Arsenal 2 allows each mini in the unit to use up to two of its weapons. Speeder 2 ignores terrain that is height two or lower. The main weapon has range three and fires three red and three black dice, plus fixed front and Impact three. It gets to save on one white dice and has seven health. The unit costs 175 points.

airspeeder upgrade cards

The upgrade cards include Comms Jammer (15 points), Long-Range Comlink (10 points), Mo/Dk Power Harpoon (8 points), Ax-108 “Ground Buzzer” (20 points), and Wedge Antilles (5 points). Mo/Dk Power Harpoon has Impact 1, is Fixed Rear so the defender must be inside the rear firing arc, and has Tow Cable.

Tow Cable allows you to perform a pivot with the model equipped with this upgrade after this weapon wounds another vehicle. The harpoon has range two and attacks with one red dice. The Ax-108 “Ground Buzzer” has fixed rear, range two, and attacks with four black dice. Wedge Antilles is an upgrade for repulsor vehicles only and, when tapped, allows you to do a full pivot maneuver until the end of your activation.

airspeeder vs scout walker

The model does not have much assembly required, except the blasters, tow hooks, and other small bits. It does come with a flight, which slots into the bottom. The front weapons slot in easily, the ground buzzer and tow cable go into the back on the top, so they can be switched out. The scout walker is a much larger model than the Airspeeder, but both have great details and work with scaling quite well. It isn’t as posable but still will look great on the tabletop.
