Idoneth Deepkin SPOTTED In April WD!

Idoneth-Deepkin-4Today we’re getting a special look at the Idoneth Deepkin in the upcoming April White Dwarf. Come find out the latest on this new Age of Sigmar army.

The latest images showing the Idoneth Deepkin in next month’s White Dwarf courtesy of Xavi in the comments on Miniwars. So the only downside is we aren’t sure exactly what the pages read, but we’re still getting a new look at the Idoneth Deepkin and what we can expect to see in next month’s White Dwarf.

We’re getting a look at the new rules for Eidolon and he’s going to have a 12″ Move, 12 Wounds, 3+ Save, and 10 Bravery. His Spear of Repressed Fury is going to have a 2″ Range, 4 Attacks, 3+ To Hit, 2+ Wound, -2 Rend, and 2 Damage. His Crulhook has a 1″ Range, 4 Attacks, 2+ To Hit, 3+ To Wound, -1 Rend, and 1 Damage. The Stormshoal has a 3″ Range, 2D6 Attacks, with a 4+ To Hit/Wound, and does 1 Damage.

Of all these weapons it seems like Eidolon’s spear is going to be the most deadly with -2 Rend and 2 Damage, but we’re not 100% positive on what the abilities are, so there might be something that help the other two weapons, we’ll just have to wait and see.

The new White Dwarf images are getting us excited for the release of the Idoneth Deepkin which will be available for pre-order April 7th and available in stores April 14st. These images are coming out shortly after we got our first look at the new army during the GW Studio Preview during Adepticon 2018 last week.

For Warhammer Age of Sigmar fans, talk in the Mortal Realms of late has been dominated by one question – just who, or what, are the Idoneth Deepkin? Well, wonder no longer!

Hidden for centuries beneath the oceans of the Mortal Realms, the Idoneth Deepkin have finally surfaced – a magnificent and terrifying race of soul-stealing reavers with mastery of the strange magics of the seas.

Colossal sea beasts. Living tidal waves. Predatory shoals of fish. Aelves riding sharks and giant turtles with bolt throwers. We’re in!

We also got a look at one fantastic looking mini that Miniwars claimed to be Eidolon from the White Dwarf preview. But, we can’t confirm that, so take it as you will.

Idoneth Deepkin

Games Workshop verified it was Teclis narrating the video, and after the preview, we put out that of all the minis in the video this was the miniature that closely resembled what we know of Teclis.

If it is indeed Teclis then this is a drastic improvement of the old Finecast mini:

High Elf Mage Teclis

But, if it’s not, and that mini is indeed Eidolon, then what is the new Teclis model going to look like, or will he be saved for a future Age of Sigmar Elf release?

The latest big reveal of the Idoneth Deepkin has us excited for the future of Age of Sigmar! Sea elves on a bike like fish and eel mounts, a giant turtle chariot model, and flying sharks, what more could you possibly ask for?

So it looks like we have the release lineup for the first half of April now:

  • Drukhari pre-order March 31st with a release date of April 7th.
  • Idoneth Deepkin pre-order April 14th with an initial release date of April 21st (still unconfirmed from OP)
  • Stormcast Fastriders and Khorne Magore’s Fiends pre-order April 7th with an initial release date of April 14th

These next three releases are making April look like it’s going to be a busy month for fans everywhere whether you’re a Sigmar or 40k fan, or both. Make sure you’re checking back in with us for the latest updates leading up to all of these big release dates.

What do you think about the new Idoneth Deepkin? Are you planning on getting a sea turtle mount chariot of your own? Is that model riding the wave Eidolon or Teclis?
