Thunderhawks wallpaper Forge worldWe’re seeing new Hobbit releases coming out of Forge World that are now available for pre-order. Plus, we’re getting a preview of an upcoming release from the Rogue Trader days.

Now available for pre-order are the following new releases from Forge World:

Nazgûl of Dol Guldur Collection £96

NazgulDolGuldurCollection01

Collect together The Nine, the most deadly of Sauron’s servants, with this bundle. It features 3 resin kits:

– The Nazgûl of Dol Guldur 1, featuring the Dark Headsman, the Witch-King of Angmar and the Slayer of Men;
– The Nazgûl of Dol Guldur 2, featuring Khamûl the Easterling, the Slayer of Men and the Lingering Shadow;
– The Nazgûl of Dol Guldur 3, featuring the Forsaken and 2 Abyssal Knights.

The Nazgûl of Dol Guldur 3 £32

NazgulDolGuldurThree01

Appearing at Dol Guldur in a very different form to that of the Black Riders, at this point in their existence the Nazgûl are much swifter with a blade than the robed figures that appear many years later. Summoned into being by the Necromancer of Dol Guldur, the Nazgûlengage the White Council in a grim ballet of whirling blades and darting movement. Able to constantly return to battle once banished, the servants of the Dark Lord are a deadly foe unlike any the White Council has ever faced before.

This multi-part resin kit contains the components necessary to assemble The Nazgûl of Dol Guldur 3, 3 Middle-earth miniatures. Each is remarkably sinister, with heavy robes, armour, spiked helmets and cowls obscuring their true forms, and grim weaponry in their gauntleted hands. The kit builds The Forsaken, who holds a bizarrely-shaped trident, and 2 Abyssal Knights. Each of these is clad in heavy robes and armour, with nothing visible of their faces – a truly sinister Hero addition to your Evil army.

The miniatures come as 12 components and are supplied with 3 25mm round bases. Rules can be found in The Hobbit: Motion Picture Trilogy™ There and Back Again.

Hilda Bianca & Percy £20

HildaandPercy01

A resident of Esgaroth, Hilda Bianca leads the charge of the women, old and wounded from the great hall. Whilst not versed in combat, Hilda Bianca demonstrates tremendous courage. Armed with a fishing spear and rallying others behind her, she joins the men of Lake-town in the fight for Dale, knowing full well that this could be her end.

The former porter of Lake-town, Percy was a humble man and an upstanding pillar of the community. During The Battle of the Five Armies, he rose to the occasion to become second-in-command under Bard the Bowman™. Percy proved himself to be as skilled an archer as he is a leader, rallying the survivors of Lake-town to stand defiant amidst the heat of battle.

This multi-part resin kit contains the components necessary to assemble Hilda Bianca & Percy,Heroes of Lake-town. Hilda Bianca is posed defiantly, bunching her skirts out of the way with one hand, an enormous barbed fishing spear in the other. Percy, with his detailed long hair and beard, wields his bow in his left hand, drawing it back with the other. On his hip is modelled a quiver, peeking out from beneath his overcoat.

These 2 models come as 5 components, and are supplied with 2 25mm round bases. Rules are found in The Hobbit: Motion Picture Trilogy™: There And Back Again.

In addition to these new Hobbit releases, we’re also getting a look at the upcoming Valdor model that will be going on pre-order at the end of the month. Just be mindful of the pre-order date in bold:

Constantin Valdor, Captain-General of the Legio Custodes £60

ConstantinValdor01

Coming soon – This product will be available to order from 30th March 2018.

Constantin Valdor sits at the right hand of the Emperor as perhaps His most trusted companion and guardian, a watchman of inviolable purpose and all but unmatched fighting skill. Such in fact is Valdor’s martial power and superhuman physical and mental abilities that there are those, even within the Imperial Court, who have in whispers called him ‘Primarch’ in all but name. This is no doubt a disingenuous claim, as for all his power Valdor was made and trained to serve a different and far more focused purpose, that of Lord Commander of the Custodian Guard, and to Valdor the petty concerns of conquest and glory, dominion and victory are as nothing when compared to his own sworn duty.

This multi-part resin kit contains the components necessary to assemble Constantin Valdor. This is an exceptionally detailed model, which painters will delight in tackling – there’s barely any flat surface at all on his ornate power armour, with skulls, eagles and lightning bolts modelled finely on every panel. Chains, furs and strips of cloth feature heavily, with even the greaves featuring sculpted buckles and faces. Over the left shoulder is mounted the head of some great horned creature, while a heavily augmented bird sits on the left. Constantin’s head is bare, with cabling running from his jaw and temples, connecting him to his power armour. He wields the Apollonian spear, which incorporates a bolter and a power blade capable of reducing anything it touches to its component molecules. The model’s base is made up of 3 components – a 40mm round base featuring rocks, ruins and remains upon which Constantin is posed, a 60mm scenic round base providing a backdrop, and a further outcrop which is used to lock the model into the latter.

Constantin Valdor, Captain-General of the Legio Custodes comes as 17 components. Rules can be found in The Horus Heresy Book Seven: Inferno.

In addition to a look at Valdor, earlier this week we got a preview of an old Rogue Trader model that is going to be getting revamped, and available for a limited time.

Very soon, the Land Speeder will be receiving similar treatment, as this classic design is brought to life in glorious resin. The new Forge World Land Speeder captures the spirit of its progenitor perfectly – while the mould lines may be crisper and the detail a lot sharper, there’s no mistaking the influence of Rogue Trader here:
