We’re seeing the new Termite finally available for pre-order from Forge World. Plus, we look back at the latest previews of upcoming releases from them as well.
Now available for pre-order are the following new releases from Forge World:
Terrax Pattern Termite Assault Drill £75
A specialised transport vehicle, the Termite is capable of deploying a full squad of warriors onto the battlefield whilst bypassing enemy fortifications and sentries. It is capable of tunnelling rapidly through even the densest of materials at speeds comparable to surface transport craft, thanks to the grinding drill of the Termite which utilises a linked array of melta-cutters and phase-shield generators to aid in its progress. Once at its target location, it emerges onto the surface, or even directly into the lower level of macrofortifications, scattering nearby enemies with its melta-cutters before disgorging its deadly cargo.
This multi-part resin kit contains the components necessary to assemble a Terrax Pattern Termite Assault Drill. Designed with practicality in mind, this vehicle eschews the aggressive look of many of its contemporaries – spending much of its time underground, this drill is more concerned with moving earth than striking fear into the enemy. As such, it is essentially a long capsule – able to transport up to 12 models – with 5 sets of tracks along its body, which serve both to pull it along the tunnels it digs and deposit rocks and earth behind it. At the rear is the engine assembly, with covers and exhaust, but the front is where the real fun is to be had – an enormous drill assembly takes up the whole of the vehicle’s front, with 4 rings of blades giving way to a large ring of grinders and crushers. 2 weapons can be mounted, either side of the drill assembly – you have the choice of included heavy flamers, volkite chargers or twin-linked bolters, and a hatch on the hull can be modelled closed or open.

Constantin Valdor, Captain-General of the Legio Custodes £60
Constantin Valdor sits at the right hand of the Emperor as perhaps His most trusted companion and guardian, a watchman of inviolable purpose and all but unmatched fighting skill. Such in fact is Valdor’s martial power and superhuman physical and mental abilities that there are those, even within the Imperial Court, who have in whispers called him ‘Primarch’ in all but name. This is no doubt a disingenuous claim, as for all his power Valdor was made and trained to serve a different and far more focused purpose, that of Lord Commander of the Custodian Guard, and to Valdor the petty concerns of conquest and glory, dominion and victory are as nothing when compared to his own sworn duty.
This multi-part resin kit contains the components necessary to assemble Constantin Valdor. This is an exceptionally detailed model, which painters will delight in tackling – there’s barely any flat surface at all on his ornate power armour, with skulls, eagles and lightning bolts modelled finely on every panel. Chains, furs and strips of cloth feature heavily, with even the greaves featuring sculpted buckles and faces. Over the left shoulder is mounted the head of some great horned creature, while a heavily augmented bird sits on the left. Constantin’s head is bare, with cabling running from his jaw and temples, connecting him to his power armour. He wields the Apollonian spear, which incorporates a bolter and a power blade capable of reducing anything it touches to its component molecules. The model’s base is made up of 3 components – a 40mm round base featuring rocks, ruins and remains upon which Constantin is posed, a 60mm scenic round base providing a backdrop, and a further outcrop which is used to lock the model into the latter.
Constantin Valdor, Captain-General of the Legio Custodes comes as 17 components. Rules can be found in The Horus Heresy Book Seven: Inferno.
The Shield of the Emperor £258
Assemble a mighty army – 1500 points, indeed – of Legio Custodes for use in games of The Horus Heresy, led from the front by the impressively powerful Constantin Valdor. With this bundle – which includes free express shipping – you’ll receive:

We also got a preview recently of an old Rogue Trader model that is going to be getting revamped, and available for a limited time.
Very soon, the Land Speeder will be receiving similar treatment, as this classic design is brought to life in glorious resin. The new Forge World Land Speeder captures the spirit of its progenitor perfectly – while the mould lines may be crisper and the detail a lot sharper, there’s no mistaking the influence of Rogue Trader here:
