Alpharius

If you missed it last weekend, follow along as we unbox and build Forge World’s Alpharius Primarch miniature for the Horus Heresy.

Our very own Robbie B unboxes and builds the Alpha Legion Primarch and gives us some valuable tips along the way on how to get the most out of this beautiful miniature.

This exclusive release was acquired at Warhammerfest 2018 and is not yet available from Forge World. The 75£ price tag may or may not be exclusive to Warhammerfest as well.

We will have to keep an eye out upon release for the actual price tag which varies on Primarchs from 60 – 80£ normally.

Rob takes the time (as he does in every unboxing) to break down the instructions and each bit included in the new Primarch build to help you get a better overall picture of the Project.

Here Rob takes a look at the exquisite detail that only Forge World can provide. From the individual scales and armor plates and even down to each rivet, this new Primarch is a sight to behold.

No project is without its small setbacks. Here you can see that Alpharius’s spear has a warp. Rob explains how a hair dryer or some hot water is the perfect way to fix this problem.

As you can see the spear problem was an easy fix with a some easy to do hobby tech. Now on to the base!

Rob also goes over a way to magnetize your display base so you can get the most out of your mini. You can use him a high-quality display piece or a deadly leader for your Alpha Legion army.

And here he is in all his glory minus a few pieces that were left off for painting purposes. This Primarch is an amazing mini, make sure you stay right here for all the latest news on this amazing Alpha Legion Primarch.

Make sure also that you keep an eye on the Forge World so you secure your copy of Alpharius.

Spikey Bits sprung from Rob staying motivated to hobby on his backlog of projects, while sharing his knowledge with others during the early blogging era.

LEGO maniac and scale model hobbyist in the 80s turned miniature wargamer and trading card player ever since. He’s played every edition of Warhammer 40k and Warhammer Fantasy (since 5th Edition), but Titans of all sizes will always be his favorite! It’s even rumored that his hobby vault rivals the Solemnance Galleries, containing rulebooks filled with lore from editions long past, ancient packs of black-bordered Magic Cards, and minatures made of pewter and resin.
