Lock S-Foils In Attack Position: Star Wars X-Wing

X-Wing is giving you a new way lock S-Foils in attack position with the new Saw’s Renegades expansion. Check out the new tech that will keep the namesake ship flying high!

Leevan Tenza is at the controls of this new T-65 X-wing. Rocking at PS 5, this pilot has a nifty pilot ability that will pair nicely with some new modifications. After Leevan performs a boost action, he may receive 1 stress token to receive 1 evade token. THis is a great way to boost defenses in a pinch, but Leevan does not have the boost action naturally. So let’s go with a new upgrades for the T-65.

Servomotor S-Foils is a new modification upgrade for the T-65 that utilizes its namesake wing pattern. In the closed position, the T-65 reduces its primary weapon value by 2, but gains the boost action.

It also may treat its 2 banks maneuvers as green. At the start of the Activation phase you may flip S-Foils to Attack Position! What this grants you is your full primary attack value, the barrel roll ability, and you may treat your 3 turns as Tallon Rolls, granted that you are not already stressed. This opens up supreme maneuverability for the humble T-65.

Not that you have your S-Foils squared away, go for a Renegade Refit to add more options. As a torpedo slot, this upgrades reduces your squad cost by two and allows you to equip up to two different Modifications. The squad point cost of each elite upgrade is also reduced by 1, to a minimum of zero.

This opens up a whole slew of options for your T-65!

Since Leevan has a proclivity for stress tokens, Wired is a good fit for him. When attacking or defending, if you are stressed, you may reroll 1 or more of your focus results. This can keep him in the fight longer if you have your S-Foils closed by being able to grab an evade token, gain a stress token, and then reroll your agility dice that roll focus results.

To further boost your defense, a Shield Upgrade is a great option. At 3 points (-1 due to Renegade Refit) this is a bargain to bump Leevan up to 3 shields. This little T-65 will be a mini tank on the battlefields of X-Wing.
