Saw Gerrera knows the risks he must take to bring the fight to the Empire. But he is willing to give his all with the help of a few plucky Rebel allies.
Saw Gerrera is at the controls this time in X-Wing, and he’s piloting a U-Wing. At PS 6, Saw is respectable and has a support style pilot ability. When a friendly ship at range 1-2 attacks, if it is stressed or has at least 1 damage card, it may reroll 1 attack die. Saw allows your Rebels to fight harder, despite being damaged or stressed. The signs of a true leader not concerned with loss. 
Saw can help his wounded Rebel allies by using Draw Their Fire. Since he will want to keep his allies close, he can tank some of their hits for them. When a friendly ship at range 1 is hit by an attack, you may suffer 1 of the uncancelled crit results instead of the target ship. To keep your Rebels fights in, Saw is willing to take the hits, whatever it takes to win. 
Sabine Wren is ready to lend her explosive expertise to the cause of Saw Gerrera. As a crew member, Sabine adds a bomb slot to Saw’s U-Wing. Once per round, before a friendly bomb tokens is removed, choose 1 enemy ship at range 1 of that token; that ship suffers 1 damage. This is a great way to get the most out of your bomb tokens but can also have a side benefit to your allies.
With Thermal Detonators equipped, they can damage your enemies and give them stress tokens. This can also help your allies if they just so happen to get caught in the blast as well. Since Saw boosts allies that have a stress token or at least a damage card, its all for the cause if your friendlies get caught in the blast as well. A great way to damage enemies, and at the same time boost your allies.
You will want to make them most out of those bomb tokens, so go with Extra Munitions. This can allow you to potential deal 4 damage and give out stress in 2 separate blasts. This can also help you boost your “fresh” allies that may be lacking in stress or damage. Saw Gerrera knows what’s at stake when fighting the Empire. He is willing to sacrifice it all to defeat them!
