Forge World has a new model up for pre-order this morning and more Horus Heresy Marines are going to the Last Chance to Buy section.
Forge World updated their online store with a new model available for pre-order and moved more Marines into the Last Chance to Buy category. Make sure you check out what’s leaving so you can stock up on the models now if you need them.
Anacharis Scoria £80
The true history of Anacharis Scoria has been lost, but there exists fragmentary evidence that places him as a Magos Dominus in the service of Xana some thirty years before the outbreak of the wars of the Heresy. It is believed he was gifted the rank and duties of the Vodian Magister – the chief enforcer of cult doctrine on his shadowed and secretive world, but some time after that he was cast down and removed from all records until the time of the Loyalist covert operation known as the Xana Incursion. In the aftermath of that disaster, its existing rulers were destroyed in a bloody coup of which Scoria re-emerged far more powerful than before to slay those who had once judged him.
Virtually obscured beneath sinister machinery and grim augmentations, Anacharis Scoria is an impressive example of just how far the Legio Cybernetica will take their modification. Visible as a face beneath a cowl – itself almost indistinguishable from the robotics and other mechanical additions that dominate the model – even Scoria’s eyes have been replaced by optical implants that stare passively from within. Far more mass is given over to the aforementioned augmentations – Scoria is dwarfed by looming devices both offensive and defensive, with 5 claws, a tail weapon, 2 sets of sensors, a drill and a scanner dragging behind, supported by his 8 legs, mounted to hydraulics and ready for action. Anacharis Scoria features a sculpted base section, depicting him walking over a section of crumbling ruin.
This resin Character Series model comes as 37 components, and is supplied with an 80mm round base. Rules can be found in The Horus Heresy Book 6 – Retribution.
Anachoris Scoria is available for pre-order this morning and is only £80. He was spotted originally back at the Forge World Open from a few months ago. If you play Dark Mechanicum, this is the perfect addition to your force.
Scoria is the epitome of Mechanicum modifications. With Hydraulic Spider legs, his arm replaced by a drill, and mechanical lenses that are in place of his eyes, he is more machine than man. Pre-order him today.
Last Chance to Buy
Marines are up on the chopping block for this Last Chance to Buy. Heavy Support Squads are useful in any 30k Legion so you might want to look into picking up a couple of these units for good measure.
Everyone needs Heavy Weapons fire support.
MKIII and Tartaros Terminators are heading out the door as well, maybe the plastic Prospero kit ushered in their undoing?
On top of Terminators and Heavy Support squads heading out, Forge World is getting rid of their solution and airbrush paint. Make sure to check the website for what paints are still in stock if you like using their paints.
Of all these squads, none of them come with weapons except for the Tartaros pattern Terminator squad just above. You’ll need to buy your weapons separately so keep that in mind when you try to factor the price of things.
