Just a couple days into Orktober and GW has dropped what may be the last Speed Freeks preview on what’s coming next for the Orks.
GW just previewed the final new “vehicle” that Orks are getting on the tabletop. The Megatrakk Scrapjet looks like it’s going to be fast and we mean FAST.

It’s not what we would expect out of an Ork video. But hey, at least we’ve got a new model on the way.
Introducing the Megatrakk Scrapjet
First off, it’s a LITERAL jet that has its wings replaced with tracks and tires. It’s got all the speed of a normal jet with the running-over capability of a Trukk.
Look at the twisted blades sticking out of the turbine. That’s just begging to mulch some Guardsmen.
Judging by the model, it looks like it’s going to have a decent amount of dakka from its Shootas on the right. But the real beauty of this model is the belt-fed rokkit launcha. Ork shooting is historically bad so they have to make up for it in volume of fire!

Just by previews alone, Orks are looking like they’re going to be a very fast army that can throw a decent amount of shots downrange befoe absolutely mulching units in melee combat.
With the way the meta is going, Orks may be the fastest army around. Deepstriking is basically not a thing anymore so Orks can just zoom up the board with these new rides.
