Battleforces Are Coming! GW’s New Holiday Pre-Orders For DEC

Lots of new miniatures, accessories, and rulebooks are headed your way for pre-order from Games Workshop. Check out what you need to add to your holiday wish list!

GW is promising a big treat for you next week, with a gaggle of releases for Titanicus with books, boards, boxes and dice to follow! Check out what they just posted that will be ready for pre-order later in the week!

First up is the mighty Titan Battlegroup boxed set, comprising a Warlord Battle Titan (with volcano cannons), a Reaver Battle Titan and a pair of Warhound Scout Titans.

GW says you’ll save buying a pair of Warhounds with the value included in this set. Pricing estimates would put this at around $170 for the battleforce per their description. Add in a rules set for $60 and you have yourself a nice little force of Titans.

Next up are some serious collections for Blood Bowl!

First up, we’ve got the Champions of Death team itself – 14 players consisting of four each of Zombies and Skeletons, and a pair each of Mummies, Wights and Ghouls. With the Regeneration skill nearly universal among your players, you can unleash the most dastardly violence on opposing teams with no fear of reprisal!

Of course, no Blood Bowl team would be complete without a home pitch to play on. For the Shambling Undead, this consists of a double-sided graveyard pitch: one for playing during the day and the other at night – after all, there are no floodlights on this pitch, only eerie gravelights and the drifting spirits of the damned!

And, of course, what is a new slew of miniatures without a set of dice to match? Not to mention a set of Shambling Undead Cards so you’ll have your references on hand during game play.

The are also two Blood Bowl publications on the way for fans of the living and the Shambling Undead alike. First up is Spike! Journal Issue 4, detailing the rise (or raising) of the Champions of Death along with the regular articles such as Star Player Spotlights and Chat with the Rat. We also have the 2018 Blood Bowl Almanac which, amongst other brand-new content, FAQs and the special ball and pitch rules previously only featured in this year’s issues of White Dwarf, includes Spike! Journal Issues 1-3.

If you haven’t joined in on the Necromunda craze, GW says now is the time, because the Necromunda Rulebook is coming! This tome will be useful even if you already play. It’s got updated rules and all the FAQ’s are built in.

The most mysterious of Necromunda’s gangs are the main focus of next week’s pre-orders, as the secretive agents of House Delaque are set to hit the streets of the underhive in force. The Delaque Gang includes 10 of these tall, rather unnatural-looking gangers and a huge variety of weapon options with which to arm them.

The best way to find out is to get your hands on Necromunda Gangs of the Underhive. This 160-page hardback includes the full rules and background for all six of the major Houses of the underhive – including, for the first time, House Delaque. As well as revealing some long-hidden secrets about the Delaque, this book includes the full Trading Post rules and every weapon profile, and also incorporates all of the latest errata and FAQs.

If you don’t already subscribe to White Dwarf, GW is giving you another incentive- a free booklet featuring the Delaque rules is going to be included in December’s issue.

And don’t forget there’s always dice and cards to match!

There’s also good things coming to you 40k and AoS fans! A new collection of Battleforces is coming from GW in the near future! Rumored to be $170, all of these look to be great value from Games Workshop to the tune of about $250 value on average in each one.

Each of these 10 Battleforces offers a fantastic start – or addition – to a collection of their faction, as they not only include a selection of useful units but will save you loads of cash compared to picking them all up individually!

And if you’re into Middle Earth, fear not! GW has a newly available set of miniatures just for you!

Thorin Oakenshield and Company. This handy set of miniatures was previously only available in the Escape From Goblin Town set, and includes Thorin Oakenshield, his 12 Dwarf kinsmen, Gandalf the Grey and Bilbo – the brave adventurers who accompanied the heir of Durin on his quest to reclaim Erebor. What’s more, they’ve all just received some shiny new rules in the Armies of The Hobbit, which is available to pre-order now. In fact, if you equip them as they were after escaping from Goblin-town, they make a wonderfully thematic army of exactly 1000 points!

All of this will be ready for pre-order next weekend. Which ones are you looking forward to the most?
