Another rumor Daemon engine is here showcasing some kind of weapon that has us scratching our heads. Check out this bit we’ll be seeing for Chaos.

Warhammer Community posted another rumor Daemon engine and long story short, it’s doing to have some kind of shooting profile. We’re not entirely sure if this is going to be a brand new weapon with new stats, or if this is a clever rework of an older weapon.

Mystery Chaos Cannon: GW Rumor Daemon Engine

Jumping in feet first, we can tell that it’s definitely going to be used in the shooting phase. Yes, there’s a little bayonet underneath, but we feel like that just be another cosmetic of being Chaos. We doubt the blade will have any say so in its weapon profile.

So what does this weapon look like to you? Well to us, we thought it might have been the Terminator Autocannon.

The rumor engine bit essentially looks like an autocannon that had one of its barrels taken out. It’s still got the raised front sight and the blade at the very end (although aesthetically different). Of course, the image gets cut off right where we’d expect to see a Terminator holding onto it so we just have to make our best guesses until it gets its full preview.

Or perhaps it is now the plastic version of the early 2000’s Chaos Havoc set that featured a pewter autocannon:

Autocannons are one of the best weapons to come out of 8th edition and if they’re reworking them for Havocs that would suggest that they’re reworking the Chaos Space Marine model line as well!
