Games Workshop hit us with a new method to introducing their rumor engines. It looks like we’ve got two things to debunk and they’re both screaming Chaos.
Warhammer community released two odd rumor engines showing off some kind of Daemon-possessed machinery as well as a snapshot of another bit. Let’s take a look at both and see if we can debunk exactly what we’re looking at.
Rumor “Daemon” Engine

Games Workshop’s normal rumor engine post has been taken over by some kind of Daemon entity. In the post, it drew us a “sketch” of a new bit that’s on the way for us…except it’s covered in fire and spikes to make it more intense.
Taking a deeper look at the drawing, there IS a heavy obsession with skulls in it. Maybe an old Mechanicum control board became possessed? Of course, with anything to do with THAT many skulls, we instantly gravitate towards something from Khorne.
Speaking of Khorne, we know he’s getting some support after it was announced at the Las Vegas Open 2019. However, the only support we saw coming to him was for Age of Sigmar. (That still doesn’t mean more support can’t come to 40k).

Daemon Possessed Backpack?
Games Workshop was actually nice enough to give us a picture of a bit and there’s no doubt that a Daemon is inside whatever it is. At first glance, we thought it could be the backpack of some kind of new model/character like maybe a Possessed.
Speaking of Possessed, we know it looks like they’ve got some updated artwork on the cover of Shadowspear. Maybe this is the backpack to a newly sculpted Daemon-possessed Marine?
This Thousand Sons pack has the same layered plates as the snapshot GW gave us! The only difference is that there’s not a Warp-born face staring back at you!
