New Chaos Is Here: Skull Collector Rumor Engine

kharn

GW dropped another rumor Daemon engine and we feel like we have a pretty good idea of what we’re looking at. Break down the latest with us!

Warhammer Community hasn’t slowed down with the daily rumor Daemon engines. They released a picture of the upper half of a chain-axe. Usually, rumor engines have key details cut off to make us really guess what we’re looking at. However, once you see this bit, you’ll be locked in on the classic Chaos melee weapon.

Rumor Daemon Engine: Skull Collector 2.0

See what we mean? It’s without a doubt some kind of chain axe. However, not just anybody may be carrying this thing around. Look at the backside of the weapon. Do you see that chord connecting to the blade underneath the skull? That’s actually looking to be some kind of power weapon.

Could we be looking at the first chain/power weapon blade in the game? Maybe this thing will have two attack profiles where you get an extra attack if you use the chain side and an extra -1 AP if you use the powered-up side!

While the whole back half of the weapon could be purely aesthetic, we think it’s definitely not outside the realm of possibility of GW to give  Chaos a unique melee weapon.

Is this rumor Daemon engine serving as a harbinger for these guys getting a new kit? Maybe we’re seeing the first preview of some updated Khorne Berzerkers! The Berzerkers are one of the older kits that the community has been asking to have updated for a good long while now. Now, remember, GW is mainly focusing on Black Legion things at the moment, but Khorne Berzerkers can be taken as Elites in Black Legion so we don’t see why these guys wouldn’t get any attention!

Can You Make the ID on all these Chaos Daemon Engines?

What do you think about the rumor engine? Would you like to see a combo power/chain weapon? Do you think this weapon could be going to a new special character? Let us know in the comments of our Facebook Hobby Group.
