Could This Be The Ambull’s Cousin? GW Rumor Engine

gw store rumor engine warhammer community

Games Workshop is back at it again revealing even more new releases that they’ve got on the way for us. What do you think we’re looking at exactly?

Warhammer Community revealed the rumor engine right on schedule and we were met with a real head-scratcher. We’re not so confident in what we’re looking at. Is it for AoS or 40k? Who knows! One thing is for certain, it’s very much alive and has a hard chitinous shell.

Looking at the rumor engine, it has some alienistic undertones. however, nothing that we can say is for sure a Tyranid. Our minds tend to go in the direction of some kind of worm-species that could be in the same shoes as the Ambull! It just gets picked up by Space Travellers and hops off at the next planet!

gow

If you played Gears of War back in the day, you probably remember the Rock Worms that Locusts ate for food. Their shell was almost impenetrable by normal means of fire, and this model could be following suit!

We can also see this thing being some kind of creature for the realms of AoS. We’re going to go out on a limb and say that we don’t think this bit aligns with any certain Chaos god. With that said, what faction could this be going to? Well, we feel like it might be used by a faction rather than be a part of the faction. See what we’re getting at?

Idoneth Deepkin Pre Orders

For example, the Idoneth Deepkin Eels and Sea Turtles are used by the faction. They’re just a means of doing war. So, whatever this bit goes to, it could be some kind of animal that a faction in AoS decided to wrangle and ride!

What faction would be most likely to ride an armored worm into combat? Do you think the bit is for 40k or AoS? Let us know in the comments of our Facebook Hobby Group.
