The Iron Warriors Legion is getting their own page of support in the Vigilus Ablaze book. Check out what they’ll be bringing to the table with their new rules.

Warhammer Community is going to be going down the line on some of the most popular Legions Chaos has to offer. These Legions will be supporting the Warmaster’s war machine on the planet so let’s dig in!

Editor’s note, there was not a lot of meat to the preview, hopefully, this will pair well with future previews from Vigilus. Let’s dig in:

Iron Warriors: Siege Lords

Iron Warriors are essentially played the same as the Imperial Fists do on the table. In reality, only half of their Chapter tactic is ever useful negating any kind of cover save.  This is the existing rule from Codex: CSM

Obliterators Devastation Battery

Iron Warriors are siege experts and have the largest amount of Obliterators in their arsenal. You can pair these guys up with Havocs, Warpsmiths, and Chaos Lords to make a Devastation Battery.

While the mainstay rules of the Devastation battery haven’t been fully previewed, there are a few vital snippets that we do have.

Devastation Battery’s Armor Bane Warlord Trait

armor bane

If you throw this Warlord Trait on a Chaos Lord from your Devastation Battery, you’ll be able to reroll both hits and wounds of 1 for units from the detachment within 6″ that target a vehicle. That’s a pretty nice buff coming from a single model sitting at 100-ish points. You’ll want to hover your Obliterators close to him and pop any kind of armor you see! Imperial Knights beware?
