Don’t miss this! Eldar’s Ynnari have some support on the way as the last faction to get updated in 8th will be getting new rules in May’s Index Xenos!
Spotted on Reddit, a picture of April’s White Dwarf showcasing the Ynnari index preview has surfaced! The Ynnari index is actually looking to be in May’s White Dwarf release as it was only previewed as “next month’s” in the April copy. How much of a “shake-up” will these Aeldari get? Take your guesses now!
Ynnari Index Spotted in White Dwarf
The most iconic Ynnari characters were seen standing in front of some Death Guard as the next faction to get support. It looks like GW decided not to give them a codex, however. Quite frankly, some would say they are already powerful enough to not even need a codex!
So what could be getting switched up for the faction? Will Soulburst get nerfed or just reworked? Could there be new units lurking in the pages? This is all a grey area right now.
At face value, this news is great for any potentially new Ynnari players as now they will be able to access the rules after GW declared the Index books from 2017 dead!
However, we think that it’ll mirror some White Dwarf indexes spotted earlier in the year.
Crimson Fist Support in White Dwarf
The Crimson Fists were a faction that got updated earlier on from a White Dwarf issue. The faction never got any new models or units. However, did get some extra stratagems, relics, and warlord traits. Keep in mind that these weren’t enough to fill a codex but were definitely a big help to the competitiveness of the faction.
Going off of what GW has done to the Crimson Fists earlier in 8th edition, we would expect to see the Ynnari get a handful of stratagems, relics, and warlord traits. We may see the Soulburst mechanic change as well. Keep your eyes peeled for more information as we get closer to its release!
