Adepticon & Crystal Brush Awards: Latest & Moving Forward
Coming to a mutual understanding, Cool Mini or Not and the Adepticon organizers have decided to part ways. However, moving forward, Adepticon announced that there would still be plenty of painting events for future hostings.
Some of the commenters gave their opinions on the matter that serve as a voice from some people in the community of contestants and viewers.
Based off some of the comments, it looked like things were beginning to become a bit stale. Others noticed that the same top contestants were winning year after year. And finally, some even thought that there weren’t as many entries as previous years.
Others believe it did not cater to most of the population at the event. That being the tabletop gamer. While the paint jobs are out of this world, the entries might appeal to gamers more if they were in-game models. A large chunk of the models were busts and one-off sculpts.
While Crystal Brush may no longer be at the event, we can rest assured that the Adepticon team is making plans to have our painting passions covered. What were your thoughts on the painting entries for the Crystal Brush painting competition at Adepticon? Did you have a favorite?
