Suit Up! Another GW Rumor Engine SPOTTED!

Suit up with a  new rumor engine from Games Workshop. Take a look at what we think may be a chest piece- let’s see if we can narrow it down some!

Looking at Warhammer Community’s rumor engine, it’s raising a few questions. However, we think we are looking at some kind of chest plate for sure.

Suit Up!: Another GW Rumor Engine Spotted

rumor engine 5-14-19

Looking at the rumor engine, we are almost 100% positive that we are looking at a chest piece to some kind of suit. It looks like it has some external padding that branches out to both ends of the shoulders. Plus, there’s a subtle collar-looking ridge that looks to protect the neck some. The real question is what does this bit go to?

We think it could be:

  • Some kind of new Imperial Assassin.
  • Aeldari Farseer/Warlock chest.
  • Tau Fire Warrior/character

assassin 1

We could make the case for the Assassin because the bit looks to be a lightly-armored specialized suit for an important person. It looks like a more-padded version of a Culexus.

warlock

Another option could be a new kind of Warlock model. While this Warlock is still being sold on GW’s site, we think it could be time for this guy to get a new sculpt. GW’s model-making technology has skyrocketed in recent years and we think that the design of the padding could also be a good fit for some kind of vest being worn by an Aeldari Psyker.

ethereal

Finally, we can make a case for a Tau Ethereal as well. They are all about some fancy clothing and keeping light and nimble on the battlefield. Of course, there’s not much use for heavy armor when you’re thirteen rows deep inside a Fire Warrior gun line.

At the end of the day, we really think we are looking at some kind of light armor for a chest. It’s almost like some grimdark dirt bike armor. However, we won’t know for sure what we’re looking at until we see it pop up in an official GW preview. What do you think we are looking at? Is it Imperial or Xenos in nature?
