Eisenhorn may be just the first Warhammer TV production that’s going to be under development! Get the latest on what may be next for Games Workshop.
If you missed it yesterday, Warhammer Community announced that Eisenhorn is planning to be the main character of a new TV series in the grimdark universe. That being said, we’ve got word from an industry insider that even more may be on the way!
Eisenhorn TV Series Under Development
With the Eisenhorn show on GW’s project table, they clarified exactly what Under Development actually meant:
It is NOT currently in production.
They have an idea
They are going to be building characters and concept art
Those characters will be thrown into the story outline
Script Writing then takes place
After all of those things are done, production begins.
More TV Productions On The Way?
We got word from an Industry Insider about even more Warhammer productions that may be on the way
GW Shopping around more of their stories to multiple studios to see what sticks.
They have some specific requirements with regards to their brand.
Otherwise, hands-off go ham with the story in conjunction with BL writers/ producers/other talent...
All this being said, GW also already announced that they’ve got their Eisenhorn series being developed by Frank Spotnitz. Spotnitz worked on Man in the High Castle and The X-Files previously bringing three golden globes to his reputation. We should feel pretty comfortable that the storyline is in good hands!
We’re sure we’ll see more updates on the series from GW as time moves forward. However, in the meantime, what’s your favorite part of the Eisenhorn story? How do you think this show would hit the media?
