Beastgrave is the continuation of Warhammer Underworlds. Through instability between the realms, portals have opened up, bringing Warbands into the realm of Ghur. These two new tribal Warbands will be the first new factions out of the Beastgrave season.
Coming alongside the Beastgrave season is a Black Library novel called Beastgrave. Bringing us into a new setting for our Warbands, they’ve given us a bit of a backstory.
While a story between a Branchwraith and a named Herdcheif sounds amazing, the deal gets even sweeter. If you buy a hard-copy book of this Black Library Novel, it will also come with three exclusive ART cards for usable Beastgrave cards.
These cards first appeared in Warhammer Underworlds: Nightvault – so they’re still usable in competitive play – and are themed around Katophrane Tomes, the preferred reading matter of the former lords of Shadespire. Kudos to GW for not releasing three exclusive cards for this book, making it a potential pay-to-win. Looking at the art within the cards, all of the books have the Black Library Warhammer. Judging by the numbering, they will be part of the normal Beastgrave set release.
Another point to make is that these cards are all based around Katophrane equipment. Depending on how your deck is built, you may not even have any use for these, but it’s a cool treat from GW nonetheless!
