A named Aeldari model is getting a much-needed update as a part of Psychic Awakening. Check out the newest Phoenix Lord to get an update, Jain Zar!
In a continuation of the last Psychic Awakening announcement where Howling Banshees and Incubi were previewed, Jain Zar, a named Phoenix Lord was previewed. Warhammer Community made the announcement that she’s hitting the tabletop sometime in October so check out all the details!
New Jain Zar Model Previewed
First previewed in some artwork on Psychic Awakening, it looks like Jain Zar is the first of what may be two Aeldari characters coming to the faction. We say first of two because of the little hint GW gave us.
In it, we can see some Howling Banshees battling a force of Incubi – Asuryani and Drukhari locked in mortal combat, just as they have been so many times since the Fall of their galaxy-spanning empire. Yet who are the mighty champions duelling at the centre of the illustration?
The incredible new miniature of Jain Zar will be on its way soon… as will her nemesis – who could that possibly be? You’ll have to tune in next Monday to find out!
Drazhar might still be in store for next week’s reveal, but for now let’s check out Jain Zar!
Rocking her iconic poofy red hair, the end of the ponytail is where she’s attached to her base. That just helps create an awesome mid-air attack pose. She’s still got her iconic weapon, Triskele with her as well.
Warhammer Community didn’t just preview her model. They also gave us a special rule for her as well. Storm of Silence lets her become a blender for tarpits. If she finds herself in a swarm of Termagants, Orks, or Cultists, she’ll be able to clear out more than a handful each attack phase.

All in all, this should definitely be a warm welcome to any Aeldari fan. It looks like the scope might be shifting from Space Marines to Xenos finally. What are your thoughts on the new model?
