GW Reveals New Raven Guard, Iron Hands & Primaris Releases!

iron hands raven guard

GW is back on the Space Marine train this week with Raven Guard and Iron Hands! New characters, supplements, and more primaris have all been revealed!

Warhammer Community just let us in on the release lineup that goes up on preorder September 14th. If you enjoy any of the loyalist Space Marines, this is going to be a great set of releases!

We had been hearing rumors about a potential Raven Guard and Iron Hands set of releases, and now its time for them to come out!

Codex Supplement: Raven Guard

Raven Guard Codex

Codex Supplement: Raven Guard will serve as your ultimate companion to collecting these consummate stealth specialists. Seriously, they’re like 8-foot-tall, armoured, genetically engineered ninjas! As well as providing you with a detailed background and military organisation of the Chapter, you’ll gain access to psychic powers from the Umbramancy discipline

We should expect to find all of their unique rules here, including warlord traits and artifacts. Not to mention lore, lore, and more lore!

Codex Supplement: Iron Hands

Iron Hands Codex

Available in both digital formats, hardback or as a premium Collector’s Edition, Codex Supplement: Iron Hands is packed with everything you could ever possibly want to know about the Sons of the Gorgon. In battle, your Iron Hands psykers will also be able to master the Technomancy discipline

We should also expect to see new traits and abilities that thematically fit into the army as well. Not to mention all the lore any dedicated player could ever want!

Datacards

Raven + Iron Data cards

For ease of gameplay, don’t forget to pick up the respective Datacard sets for the Raven Guard and Iron Hands. Each pack includes a full set of Tactical Objectives for Maelstrom of War missions, as well as their Chapter’s bespoke psychic discipline and Stratagems to make keeping track of your army in battle nice and easy.

Primaris Upgrade and Transfer Sets

Raven Guard Transfers

If you are into the shadow hunters, well this upgrade set does not disappoint. Just try to think happy thoughts while you are hobbying on these.

Iron Hands Transfers

To help get the units in your Raven Guard and Iron Hands collections ready for the battlefield, we’ve got the perfect accessory kits, each providing you with Chapter-specific shoulder pads and thematic accoutrements for your Primaris units, as well as two transfer sheets packed with iconography. As you would expect, the Iron Hands kit includes an array of bionic replacements, while the Raven Guard set even includes the first-ever ‘beaky’ helmet for the Primaris Space Marines range, styled in the manner of the classic Mk VI Corvus-pattern power armour!

Bionics!  The Iron Hands upgrade does not disappoint. Speaking of Iron Hands remember the Iron Father from springtime?

Kayvaan Shrike

Kayvaan Shrike

As a Chapter Master, Kayvaan Shrike will cater for all your re-roll-based needs (and we all have those needs), and he’s an expert at leading Vanguard and Jump Pack troops, so will make an excellent leader for your Raven Guard when taking the fight to the enemy.

Shrike is also another addition to the group of Marine leaders to become Primaris. Another sign that Primaris is here to stay as all the major characters are being reworked into them!

Malkaan FeirrosMalkaan Feirros

As a Master of the Forge, Feirros is able to repair vehicles as the battle rages about him, but he is a warrior first and foremost. Feirros can effortlessly cut foes down with his shoulder-mounted artificer heavy bolter, Gorgon’s Wrath, and hew any who dare to draw within reach of his cog-toothed axe, Harrowhand.

Feirros may not be a chapter master, but he’s still sure to be a beast on the field. Also, with him being Master of the Forge, it allows for some more fluff options in terms of lore and custom characters for games!

Primaris Lieutenant in Phobos Armor

This week isn’t all about the Iron Hands and Raven Guard either. Two more of the previewed Primaris units are coming in hot as well.

Primaris Lieutenant in Phobos Armour

The skull-masked Primaris Lieutenant is all new, sprinting forwards with combat blade drawn under the cover of the smoke grenades billowing at his feet.

Eliminators

Eliminators

The Eliminators kit offers flexible and powerful new wargear as well as different posing options

Look for all of this to go up for pre-order on the 14th of September with delivery on the 21st of September!
