Blood of the Phoenix

Enter a terrifying new age for the Aeldari with Blood of the Phoenix – a boxed set that kicks off the Psychic Awakening with a battle between two of the galaxy’s greatest warriors. This battlebox contains everything you need to pit legendary Phoenix Lord Jain Zar and her craftworld allies against a shadowy strike force commanded by Drazhar – the notorious Master of Blades.

Blood of the Phoenix

First up we will talk about the fact that Blood of the Phoenix comes with 25 models for $230.00 US. There has been a lot of talk on the internet about the price so we are going to try and break it down today. The first thing you notice when you open the box is that it is kind of a large box that seems to be loosely packed the and if you dig deeper you will find that none of the bases are bagged.

It just feels a little more thrown together than some of the previous big box releases this year.

As far as Instructions the old the new minis in this box are the computer sliced designs that we have come to expect from Games Workshop.  But the thing to watch for the future Xenos releases is that the new units are not only a tad larger than existing models but also on new 28mm bases.

These new character minis look great and have a ton of incredible detail. We feel that Games Workshop is hitting it out of the park with the new designs and hope they upgrade more of the older kits to this quality for sure.Blood of the Phoenix

Pricing versus savings on this box may be an issue for some hobbyists, but as you can see above there is still some value to be had with Blood of the Phoenix. If the projected values hold up when they release these minis individually, the overall savings may be about $135.

As always, keep those hobby muscles strong, stay in the trenches, and press play our video below!
