Don’t miss new pics of the Bandai Primaris Space Marine action figure that were spotted at the New York Toy Fair! This action figure’s the real deal!
We’ve known about the Bandai Primaris Marine for a while, and have seen some different pics here and there with a non-painted version showing a few of its articulations.
Plus, we’ve just recently seen the McFarlane Primaris previewed at the 2020 Toy Fair, which looks to be a slightly different sculpt altogether.
Any way you slice it, from Funko POP! to action figures and everything in between, it’s never been easier to collect Space Marines!
Pricing & WIP Images of McFarlane Space Marine Action Figures:
Scott Rubin posted up these images of the new figures from the toy show on our Facebook Group.
McFarlane Toys at New York Toy Fair 2020
Updates! Wanted to get the pics up ASAP. These are prototypes, finals will be articulated. Not a lot, that’s what Bandai is for.
Will be both painted and unpainted versions.
There will be more Marines, and NON SPACE MARINE figures. They’re even looking at doing actual characters if the generic soldier type figures sell.
Details look to hold up well in this close up for sure on the painted version.
And last but not least… the pricing. Only $20?
This project is still a work in progress, however, it seems like the much more affordable and broader option to choose from in the long run. Especially for fans that don’t play or even like Space Marines as they mentioned above that they would be expanding into non-Marine figures as well.
Bandai Space Marine Action Figure $100
Pre-ordering is over for the Bandai Intercessor, as you can tell from the now, dead-end link to GW’s webstore. But at $100, this is five times more expensive than the McFarlane Intercessor from above. On that note, there’s definitely something to be said about the overall quality of the Bandai Marine.
With its different posing positions as well as the level of detail in the sculpt and painting, it makes complete sense that it would be more expensive.
New Pics of Bandai Primaris Space Marine Action Figure SPOTTED!
Thanks once again to Scott Rubin on our Facebook Hobby Group, here are some close-up shots of the Bandai Marine as well as its packaging. Now we can get a better look at it all!
Don’t worry about the awkward posing on the model. You can adjust him to however you want. You can even drop the weapons from his hands needed. But looking at the detail, it’s got a much more crisp sculpting job as well as painting quality compared to the McFarlane mini. And rightfully so for something that is five-times the cost.
Similar to when all the pre-painted Funko POP! minis released and we saw people painting over them in their own colors, we’re sure we’ll be seeing the same thing happen for this guy as well. Let’s face it. Not everyone wants to be an Ultramarine.
As for the packaging, it comes in a dope, fully enclosed packaging- perfect for storing it on the shelf keeping it in mint condition and watching it become a collectible.
If you want to see even more on the Bandai figure, be sure to check out the rest of the images posted by Scott on our Facebook Group.
Look for the McFarlane Space Marine Action Figure to hit stores this fall. Pre-orders of the Bandai Space Marine are officially over, but you may be able to snag one somewhere online like eBay once they actually get released.
As for right now, what would you like to see McFarlane toys turn into a figure from the 40k universe next? Will you be repainting your Bandai Intercessor?
