Age of Sigmar is getting a helping hand of three Start Collecting boxes for some of the newer factions to get attention recently. Looking at three new deals, we’ll be pulling out the overall value of what the box is compared to what it would cost if you bought everything by itself.

Start Collecting Skinks $100

start collecting skinksThis box is coming with a pretty good base for building a Seraphon army. With that said, if you’re starting from scratch, you’ll probably want to buy at least two, maybe three of these honestly.

Inside you get:

  • Skink Starpriest $25
  • 12x Skinks- GW sells the kit as 24 for $35, but overall value for 12 would be about $17.50
  • Terradon Riders $60
  • Bastiladon $60

Total MSRP: $162.50

Total Value: $62.50

Start Collecting Daughters of Khaine $90

Get Yours For Less From Miniature Market! or Dicehead Games

start collecting Daughters of khaineFor the Daughters of Khaine, this is a pretty elite force from what is normally played on the tabletop. Usually, players spam the smaller units like Witches. But this is still a very nice building block.

Inside you’ll get:

  • Melusai Blood Stalkers  $50
  • Bloodwrack Shrine- This kit is really big and includes all the variants: the Hag Queen, Slaughter Queen, the Bloodwrack Medusa, and Avatar of Khaine as well $75. Also worth noting that it’s out of stock online. This could be the only way to get the Bloodwrack shrine for a while.

Total MSRP: $125

Total Value: $35

Start Collecting Gloomspite Gitz $95

Get Yours For Less From Miniature Market! or Dicehead Games

Start collecting Gloomspite gitzThe Gloomspite Gitz is a nice building block for the Gitz force as well. It lacks the Spiderfang aspect of the faction. But for anyone else that doesn’t want to play Spiders, this is a dope start. Giving you a Battleline as well as a cheap Leader and high-damage output from the Troggoths, you’ve got options on where you might want to take your army.

Inside you’ll get:

  • Rockgut Troggoths $60
  • Squig Herd $45
  • Loonboss $30

Total MSRP: $135

Total Value: $40

While Start Collectings might not always have the exact units everyone wants, they at least provide a cheaper way of getting into the game. Plus, they allow players to expand their army in almost any direction they really want to.

With Age of Sigmar getting three new boxes, what will you be grabbing? Do players who have big collections have any draw to picking up Start Collecting boxes? Would you like to see some Ogor Mawtribes get Start Collecting love?
