fur-armor-tutorial-ragnar-jack-of-clubsLearn how to paint your Space Wolves Fur and Armor with the latest tutorial on Ragnar himself, from Wyatt at Jack of Clubs Painting.

Jack of Clubs Painting is a regular here and normally shows us how to paint our favorite models. This time though, he’s giving us some advice on Space wolves armor and even some fur to go with it.

Painting Fur & Space Wolves Armor: Ragnar Tutorial

ragnar highlightedWith the model primed black, apply a solid base coat of Pro Acryl Dark Grey Blue. The next color is Pro Acryl Faded Ultramarine and this will be used to highlight the armor at high angles. Add in some grey to get a very light blue and do a final highlight.

Moving onto the cape take some Vallejo Heavy Brown and base the entire cape. Using Pro Acryl Olive Flesh basecoat the fur. With the two base coated grab some Pro Acryl Dark Umbre and highlight the middle sections of the fur. Follow that up with any Black right down the middle of the previous brown.

With that, the model is looking sweet and ready for any detail work! If you want to hear more of his insights, watch the full video below!
