GW’s specialist games are getting another helping hand. Check out what’s next for Warcry, Blackstone Fortress, and Blood Bowl!
The Third installment of GW Previews are here! Rescheduled and expanded due to the cancelation of Adepticon, Games Workshop is revealing their latest news and previews on Twitch and Warhammer Community today!
Essential Hobby Products & Tools List
Sure, we’ve seen a few models here and there over the past weeks, however here’s the low-down on Warcry, Blackstone Fortress, and more!
Blackstone Fortress Final Expansion- Ascension
Blackstone Fortress is getting their final expansion to the game and it looks like there’s been a WAY bigger threat hiding in the shadows than we once expected. These Guardian Drones stand three times taller than the models that came in the base game. You can also see some kind of barrel powers sticking out the sides of the models.
If you watched the video, you’ll hear someone say “no, you’re dead!”. Now, who’s that in the bottom right of the box? It sure does look like Obsidius! He might be back and behind the activation of the bigger Guardian Drones.
The Fortress is awakening, Precipice is in peril, and the explorers must band together to prevent all they’ve worked for from being destroyed. Ascension gives you a different way to play, as you race through the ever-changing corridors of the Blackstone Fortress in search of a way to shut it down and stop Obsidius Mallex once and for all.
New Warcry Warband: The Khainite Shadowstalkers
The Khainite Shadowstalkers are the spies that Morathi uses to enforce her will across the realms. Even for a race from a land of shadow and renowned for their innate stealth, these guys are sneaky! They’re like mist in the shadows, only the mist has a poison dagger and a repeater crossbow… These dynamic models hark back to a classic Dark Elf aesthetic from the world-that-was, that of Khaine worshippers like Assassins and Shades.
How cool is a dude with two repeating crossbow pistols???
As far as we know, there are only three models in this Warband. That means your activations will have to be very meaningful in-game. But these models are looking fantastic. Another interesting thing to note is that this is the first non-Chaos Warcry Warband to be released.
Snotling Team Comes to Blood Bowl
No, you’re not hallucinating. Those are Snotlings. A team of Snotlings. Sure, they have a Pump Wagon, and sure there are loads of them, but, you know, they’re Snotlings. They make Goblins look fierce and Halflings seem thoroughly athletic by comparison.
Halflings are meant for playing Blood Bowl on hard-mode. But Snotlings are going to be for EXTRA hard-mode (at least by what we’ve heard on-stream). You’ll have a few tricks in your team like quick movement and a pump wagon. But at the end of the day, a Snotling is a Snotling and they can only do so much. Each model is loaded with detail, however, and really shows how wacky these dudes are when left by themselves.
Despite previews on GW’s specialist games for two weeks in a row, we’ve still got more on the way!

After seeing the Snotling Bloodbowl team, how do you think they’ll compare to the Halflings? Does a secret spy-team in Warcry look like something you’d play?
