GW Brings Back Fantasy End Times Books For One Week!
The End Times was the cataclysmic series of events that brought this world to, well, an end and ushered in the Age of Sigmar. Whether you experienced it the first time round, or are simply curious to know what happened to destroy an entire world, you can now pick up all five volumes of Warhammer: The End Times at a one-off special price, for one week only.
You can download all of these on Black Library now.
Important Note: Each one of these books also come with rules for Fantasy Battles, which is no longer supported. If you buy these books and find rules, you’ll just need to ignore them as they’re essentially pointless.
Nagash
The dead are rising. Across the world, signs and portents point to something immense and devastating: the return of Nagash. As Mannfred von Carstein and Arkhan the Black gather artefacts that will ensure their master’s ascendance, brave allies gather to stop them – men, dwarfs and elves fighting together to prevent this catastrophe. But when they fail, the scene is set for one of the Old World’s most powerful beings to begin the task of reclaiming what is his, starting with his ancient home in the Land of the Dead.
Glottkin
The Empire is beset. The north has fallen, Emperor Karl Franz is missing, and the hordes of Chaos stream into Sigmar’s realm. Battles are fought in cities, towns and even the depths of the forest, where savage greenskins take advantage of the anarchy to rise up. Greatest of all is the assault on Altdorf, where the Brothers Glott lead the forces of Nurgle, and the city suffers under a plague-ridden siege. The city’s defenders must forge an unholy alliance to survive, with an ancient horror from the Empire’s past.
Khaine
The last war of the elves has begun. All the forces of Naggaroth invade Ulthuan, with the Witch King Malekith at their head. In desperation, Prince Tyrion, commander of the High Elf defenders, draws the Sword of Khaine and becomes the avatar of that blood-soaked god – fulfilling ancient prophecy and changing things forever. Teclis is forced to stand against his brother, and Malekith embraces his destiny, becoming Ulthuan’s last hope for survival…
Thanquol
The skaven are rising. Across the world, the under-empire empties and all the verminous hordes of the Horned Rat take to the surface for their final conquest. In the Empire, they swarm across cities, in the mountain realm of the dwarfs, they finally gain their vengeance against their ancestral enemies, and in distant Lustria, a grand plan is enacted to utterly destroy the lizardmen by crashing the Chaos moon, Morrslieb, into their temple-cities.
Archaon
The last stand has come. The Empire has fallen. Ulthuan is gone. Lustria is abandoned. The dwarf realm lies in ruins. In Athel Loren, heroes gather, infused with the power of the winds of magic. They have one last, desperate hope, a plan to stop Archaon before he can bring about the world’s destruction. But to make it work, these heroes will have to ally with dark powers and trust those who would seek to twist the situation to their own gain…
All of these books are sweet and tell awesome stories back before the world ended and eventually birthed the Age of Sigmar. It’s also worth mentioning that if you bought all the books separately, you’d be spending the same amount. i.e buying them in a bundle from Black Library isn’t going to save you anything except a few clicks.
