If The Horus Heresy Was a Film By Wes Anderson

emperor Golden Throne Imperial WebwayWhat would it look like if Wes Anderson shot a film about the Horus Heresy? Check out these actors and who they’d play in the lore.

We’ve seen some interesting actors picked for a Horus Heresy film over the years. But what would it look like if Wes Anderson was in charge? If you didn’t know already, Wes Anderson is responsible for movies like Rushmore, Grand Budapest Hotel, and the Royal Tenenbaums. Now here’s a shot at who he’d pick to play the key roles of players in The Horus Heresy.

From Sepulchre of Heroes on Facebook:

If The Horus Heresy Was a Film Shot By Wes Anderson

sepukchre wes anderson heresy 1First up, we’ve got Bill FREAKIN’ Murray as the Emperor. Imagine seeing his soft face talk to the Custodes after telling Lorgar (Jeff Goldblum) to get bent.

sepukchre wes anderson heresy 2The fact that Fulgrim would be played by Tilda Swinton is hilarious enough. But seeing Sanguinius drop a nasally “wow” at every turning point in the movie is just icing on the cake.

Finally, the scariest guy of them all playing the Warmaster, Bruce Willis, would have a field day with Bill (Big E), Owen (Sang), and Bob Balaban (Rogal Daggum’ Dorn) Just before he gets erased by Bill’s mind bullets. Imagine what kind of dialogue would go down in that scene.

This has been one of the more creative casts we’ve seen pulled together for a Horus Heresy film in quite a while. We’d watch it!

What do you think about a Wes Anderson spin on the Horus Heresy? Who is your favorite actor out of the list?
