This was a good idea! Check out the quick reference glossary of terms and keywords for all the new 9th Edition Warhammer 40k rules.
Spotted on Imgur, there’s a massive rules glossary to act as a quick reference sheet in your games of 9th Edition. We’ll be pulling out some of the unique aspects but if you want to get a closer look, be sure to head to Imgur to look over everything yourself.
9th Edition 40k Rules Quick Reference Glossary Is Here!
For the most part, the rules are straight forward. There’s no clarification really needed for something like Automatically hit.
Win The Catachan Colonel: Enter Now
This is all laid out in alphabetical order and should be especially useful for anybody just getting into 40k. The glossary even covers the lingo like “VP”, “Auras” and “units/models”.
For the phases that did get reworked, like the Morale Phase, GW also put in a quick reference of page numbers so you don’t have to thumb through the book aimlessly looking for the way to carry out a Combat Attrition test!
As we’ve said before, for experienced players most of this is all straight forward. However, if you’ve ever owned a 40k book, you’ve probably had to search for a random page that’s totally set apart by all the others for an obscure rule. Hopefully, all that will be eliminated in the Core Rulebook for 9th Edition. This definitely won’t “make” the rulebook but it’s a sweet addition!
Be sure to check out all the pages here.

What do you think about GW including a rules glossary in the core rulebook? Do you like the fact that GW is putting other page numbers to reference changed rules?
