Pricing and lineup rumors for October’s wave 1 Space Marines and Necron releases have been spotted and there are BIG shockers.
What looks to be the retailer pricing sheet for October 3rd been circulating around the web. By the looks of it, these rumors are spelling out the first set of Necron and Space Marines releases during early October! As with all leaks, take it with a grain of salt, but it does look pretty legit based on the formatting and content.
RUMORS: Necron Space Marines OCT Releases & Pricing
If you’re not up to speed there are 12 new units on the way for Space Marines, and 11 for the Necons. We break them all down in the linked articles below:
From there release rumors look like there will be only 3 releases for each faction in wave one. Here’s what may be first in line and what we know about them so far.
Szarekh the Silent King $150
There’s no official word on his weapon stats and special abilities. But we’ve got his basic statline. He’s got some decent stats with the most attractive probably being T7 and 6 attacks. The potency of the Silent King in melee will really come down to his weapon. But being the head honcho for all the Necrons we have a feeling he won’t disappoint.
On the flip side, he’ll also have 16 wounds which means that players can start shooting away at him as soon as the game starts.
Cantoptek Doomstalker $40
First, we’ve got the Canoptek Doomstalker which looks like a big brother version of the Canoptek Reanimator (inside Indomitus). If you look at the first big points to make about the datasheet, the model is a heavy support and GW redesigned the way degrading works, now giving an entire new statline to follow as it gets injured.
It’s surprisingly fast with a 10″ Move while also having 12 Wounds and a 5++ invuln. The weakest point about the model is that it’s only hitting on a 4+(thankfully that never changes as it degrades). With that said, it’s got two main profiles to use for shooting, however, the anti-tank high power version of the doomsday blaster can only be used if you stood still. Being that it’s a 48″ range cannon, there shouldn’t be many issues. The twin gauss flayer is just for some added dakka but obviously not the real reason why you’d take the unit
Overall, with a random D6 shot output and only hitting on a 4+, you’ll most definitely want to bring more than one of these to get the most value out of your points. Definitely a sweet model though.
Lokhust Heavy Destroyer $35
The Lokhust Heavy Destroyer is another Heavy Support option on the way. Unlike the Doomstalker, there can be up to three models in the Lokhust Destroyer squad. It’s got a weaker statline from the Doomstalker only being T5 with 4 Wounds but it hits on a solid 3+ and never degrades. Plus, it’s got a wrecking ball of a shot with its gauss destructor if you want to go tank hunting.
You only get one shot but at S10 -4AP and 3D3 damage, it hits almost like a Castellan volcano lance. If you want to go for screen-killing, you can also throw on the enmitic exterminator for 3d3 S7 -1 AP shots. Just taking a complete shot in the dark on this one…but we feel like the gauss destructor is going to be wildly more popular. If you do take a squad of 2-3, it also says that any number can take whichever weapon (they can be mixed).

Primaris Chaplain on Bike $45
With all the fiery zeal of their foot-slogging counterparts, these warriors exhort nearby battle-brothers to heightened acts of valour and martial prowess. And they look great doing it.
We don’t know too much about this guy at the moment, but he should be very similar to a normal chaplain with the primaris stat line and of course the speed of a bike!
Primaris Invader ATV $40
First up, we’ve got the Invader ATV and whew, these guys have a chunky statline. With a 14″ Move and 8 Wounds, these little Mario Kart-looking models won’t just roll over for anyone. They are only T5 but a little harasser unit of up to three models per squad can be surprisingly tanky. Looking at the datasheet, these ATVs have the option of taking an onslaught gatling cannon or a multi-melta.
Firestrike Servo-Turret $35
Now onto the Firestrike Servo Turret. This model moves a massive 3″ (lol) and has a nifty 2+ BS and 2+ Sv. You’ve got the option of taking a 6-shot autocannon or a 4-shot las talon. Once again we have more anti-Primaris firepower OR a gut-wrenching amount of anti-armor firepower. For just 4PL, you can get four las talon shots that hit on a 2+. That’s enough to make a Knight player’s stomach turn.
Space Marine and Necron Codex $50 ea.
We’ve seen bits and pieces of each codex through the various models and rules teased, so while we don’t have the full picture, we are starting to fill in the holes! We may even get more rules throughout the week before release if the leak is correct.

Thanks to the guys over and Miniwars, we have this potential upcoming line-up and pricing. Of course, it could be fake, but this does appear to be the retailer pricing sheet GW sends out to retailers each week. The formatting seems correct, so at the very least it looks the part.
It’s interesting to note that The Silent King is coming in at $150, $20 less than Teclis (another large character model who just came out) and $10 more than a greater daemon IE: Bloodthirster. Could this be the new standard for these larger models?
The $30-$45 price range for the rest of the models all seems pretty reasonable for medium-sized vehicles/elites.
A surprising price however is the Codexes, coming in at $10 more than their previous 8th Edition pricing of $40. GW did mention potential app functionality so perhaps the extra $10 may get you some extra access in the app?
Lastly, there are five sets of dice coming at $35 a pop. These are a little pricy so hopefully, they have more character than just a color-coated dice with a logo on it. Also, the chapters being printed here might suggest that they aren’t getting a supplement for a little bit, otherwise, they may have held off to release the dice with it…
