Warhammer Community just unveiled another rumor engine and this time it’s a bird of prey. Check out the details of this new bit that looks to be on the way for 40k or AoS.
Vulture Looking For a Snack: New Rumor Engine
So it’s no debate that we’re looking at some kind of nasty bird that’s licking his chops. He probably just showed up to a battle that just ended and is about to go all-in on the casualties. The bigger question is what he’s standing on. It looks like he’s perched on some kind of steel spikey outcrop. Now if this is a piece of armor from something like a Dark Elf or maybe part of a terrain piece, we don’t know. But if we had to take a shot in the dark, it’s probably safer to guess that it’ll be for AoS.
As far as old models go, the Harbinger of Decay is a model that uses a bird (albeit not a Vulture) that could use an update. He’s still in Finecast and although the model is beautiful, it’s looking a little dated.
Looking back at the bit, however, there really aren’t any kind of clues that point to one faction over another. It’ll be interesting to see just how GW reveals it in the future.
