Warhammer Community just unveiled another rumor engine and this time it’s a spike or maybe a tail. Check out the details of this new bit that looks to be on the way for 40k or AoS.
The Skeleton Ship Sails: New GW Rumor Engine
Looking at the rumor engine, this one is nearly impossible to nail down. It’s clearly meant to catch the wind, whether it’s a wing or a sail is harder to decide though. The skull and chain don’t offer much in the way of clues either. Literally, every 40k army can use skulls in models, and almost every AoS army (other than some order armies) can too…
The closest thing I can think of is these somewhat recent Pteraxii Sterylizors for Adeptus Mechanicus. They have what I imagine to be similar wing concepts, however, theirs is a little more “manufactured” or “futuristic” looking.
If it isn’t wings and is in fact a sail, then it’s probably going to be for AoS as two factions already use boat iconography pretty thoroughly.
