Peter Dinklage is set to star in the upcoming Toxic Avenger reboot! Get ready to relive 1980 all over again.
While he’s most known for his role in Elf, he’s actually been in some other stuff as well. You may remember the minor character he played in Game of Thrones, but if you forgot no one can blame you. If you loved the original Toxic Avenger movie, or never saw it, he seems to be a great addition to the cast.
The original movie followed the life of Melvin, who was a mild-mannered normal guy. That is until he fell into a vat of acid, became horribly disfigured, and started fighting crime with his newfound superpowers! He even came up with an amazing alias, Toxie. The movie became a cult hit and spawned a myriad of sequels, a Marvel comic series, an animated series, and even a musical. Not too bad for a man falling in a vat of acid!

While we don’t know exactly where the story will take Toxie, we do know we love the pick of Dinklage. He seems perfect for the movie because he can combine comedy with serious acting flawlessly. He won 16 awards after all for his portrayal of Tyrion Lannister.
So that should say something about his acting abilities. Really the only other things we know for sure now are that Macon Blair (I Don’t Feel at Home in This World Anymore) will be directing and that Lloyd Kaufman and Michael Herz are coming on as producers.
