Google Feature rAh, what a strange year it’s been! Let’s look at the top searches from Google and see what was hot for people while stuck at home.

Google does something pretty cool at the end of the year, you can see what the world and certain countries were searching for the most. With categories like How To’s, people, actors, Coronavirus, etc… While the year was pretty crazy, there was a lot of time to use the internet.

They don’t really show the unsavory search results, but that’s probably for the better… We’ll show some of them, but there are hundreds of searches to look through, you can go see them all here. Let’s see what the world was up to during all the lockdowns!

The Year That Was… According to Google: Global

Global Searches

ActorsThere are way more than this on there obviously but it is interesting to see Joaquin Phoenix get in the top searched actors for the entire year. Also good to see Tiger King ranking in at that number one spot for TV shows, looks like it truly was a global phenomenon. Overall just something pretty interesting to look at, unfortunately, no real hobby stuff got in there in the top searches, but hey, we tried…

Hobby QueryThe term hobbying is still dominated by Hobby Lobby, but resin made it in.

MiniaturesWhen you search for miniatures, Squidmar comes up as the top related search result, way to go!

Warhammer 40k searchLooks like Warhammer 40k searches were dominated by Dark Tide this year, that’s pretty unexpected. No big surprise Tabletop Simulator made its way into the top 5.

Did you spend more time searching on Google this year? Were you surprised by any of the results?
