We’ve got two solid GW rumor engines that look like a vortex of energy and an animal, so get your mages and tamers ready. Check this out.
Warhammer Community just unveiled two more rumor engines and this time it’s some swirling energies and maybe even a new cat in town. Check out the details of this new bit that looks to be on the way for 40k or AoS.
A Rare Spell-nado: New GW Rumor Engine
This rumor engine is pretty straight forward and simple. However, it isn’t remotely easy to place. Generic engines like this one are nearly impossible to accurately guess at. We can only hope it will be revealed quickly during the online preview this Saturday. If we had to guess, it might be a new Endless spell for Aos.
This wouldn’t be the first time we see a tornado-like spell. Stormcast Eternals have a very similar formation except they added hammers to the mix to Stormcast-ify it. The fact that there is nothing inside the engine’s vortex and is truly just plain energy, adds to the difficulty.
It may even end up being on a base, a staff, or in a hand. It’s really hard to say.
A Lunging Predator: New GW Rumor Engine
This is very clearly an animal lunging at something, but what animal? It seems to be some kind of a 4 legged animal. Perhaps a feline, hound, or even a large reptile. The bit it is leaping from does appear to have either goo or moss coming off of it, which suggests a jungle or wastes setting. Perhaps the Catachan have adopted a pet tiger or giant lizard?
There have been a few animal style companions recently, with Inquisitors getting some and even a Necromunda gang… But ultimately it’s hard to get precise with the guesses.
Very recently, we saw the Phyrr Cats come to House Escher in Necromunda. Their feet are somewhat similar, although the engine has 5 toes instead of 3. It could be a larger cat? perhaps some sort of Alpha Phyrr Cat? Or maybe even something else entirely.
Any way it goes, we may know sooner rather than later!
