Two new models have been spotted for Age of Sigmar and from the looks of it, we have Vampires and Kangaroos coming our way.
What looks to be a new Vampire and Lumineth model have been spotted in the wild. If this is a real leak we may see news from GW sooner than we thought, and might even get them both this weekend for the online preview.
Kangaroos & Vampires: New AOS Models Leaked
In the New Year’s day preview, we saw what looked to be a “vampire slayer” type model.
The shot was a new character that originally was shown in the Rumor Engine Advent Callendar on day 16. Now with the body added, we see large wooden spikes, heavily illuding that this character is a form of vampire or beast hunter. It is very likely going to be a new AoS model.
As the model turns, we can see a huge haft of a polearm or sheath for a large weapon.
It stands to reason that if you have a Vampire Slayer, you would need some Vampires to slay…
The first two new leaks is what looks to be Vampire Lord. This is special because it is potentially hinting at the next AoS Battletome after Hedonites of Slaanesh. Since fantasy blew up and became AoS, Vampire Counts merged in with other Death Factions. However, this might suggest that the Vampire Counts might still get their own faction rebooted as this new Soulblight Gravelords.
Another New Lumineth Realmlord?
The next model has a bit of potential history attached so let’s recap that right now.
On New Year’s day, GW had a special preview with a couple of new models teased, one of which looked to be a Chocobo-like cavalry for the Realmlords. First off we got what looks to be a Lumineth character standing on top of a cloud.
A different angle shows off the stance and the mace the character is holding. The cloud also has a unique parallel to the flying nimbus seen in Dragonball, Chinese Mythology, and more. Is the cloud moving like a mount, or is it still serving as a platform?
Lumineth Realmlords were lucky enough to get 2 models shown off. The second model looks like a new cavalry model. The animal seems especially furry, maybe something similar to a llama, or maybe a Chocobo!
The other side doesn’t add anything but is in a better light, so it’s easier to see some of the details.
Now, the second picture is of an archer riding a kangaroo, this is obviously a Lumineth Realmlords model. The real question becomes if it’s a character or unit. Judging but the second tail and foot to the left, it appears to be a box. Perhaps a more elite cavalry with 3 in a box? Also, is this the same model that was teased in the video a few weeks ago? It doesn’t quite match up…
This clearly isn’t the exact same model per se, but perhaps it is the same kit. GW has been really liking dual-purpose kits lately, and this “Chocobo” might be the same size and shape as the kangaroo. Them sharing a box isn’t completely out of the question, but we will have to just wait and see.
It seems like whatever the new Pointy Elves are getting it may be a whole splash wave of releases that will fit nicely into their severely low choice of selection currently for their army!
