Star Wars Video Games Rebranding to Lucasfilm Games

lucasfilm gamesStar Wars video games now have a new identity as ‘LucasfilmsGames’ that celebrates the past while looking towards future releases!

Starwars.com recently announced the rebranding of Start Wars-based video games under the name Lucasfilm Games. This celebrates the history of the old company, LucasArts, as the worlds of Lucasfilm Games will be developed in collaboration with studios across the industry.

StarWars.com is thrilled to reveal that Lucasfilm Games is now the official identity for all gaming titles from Lucasfilm, a name that encompasses the company’s rich catalog of video games and its eye toward the future.

To celebrate the announcement, they put out a sizzle reel of some of the best games released in recent years for Star Wars.

Lucasfilm’s legacy in gaming stretches back decades. And with Lucasfilm and the galaxy far, far away entering a new and unprecedented phase of creativity, so will the world of Lucasfilm Games — developed in collaboration with the finest studios across the industry.

galaxy of heroes

Galaxy of Heroes is a mobile RPG. It’s a typical gacha game, although being set in the Star Wars Universe with characters from every era in one place does make for some cool battles. It’s also free to play!

swtorStar Wars The Old Republic is actually pretty old, but with a dedicated player base, it has stood the test of time. Knights of the Eternal Throne is the newest expansion further proving that point. If you enjoy story-driven MMO RPGs this game might be worth checking out, plus it’s free to play!

sims star warsThe Sims 4 also got a Star Wars-themed expansion. With new areas, interactions, and events, now you can live out some of your star wars dreams vicariously through the Sims.

star wars bf 2Star Wars Battlefront 2 had a rocky start, but it stabilized after a heavy overhaul removing loot crates and adding standardized progression. The gameplay itself is solid, so it’s definitely worth giving a second chance if you played it on launch and didn’t like it.

jedi fallen orderJedi Fallen Order might be one of the better single-player Star Wars RPGs. Taking place right after episode 3 it’s during a dark time in the timeline, where Jedi are being hunted by inquisitors, and even survival is a test on its own.

squadronThere is also Squadrons a newer game where you play as republic pilots and play infighter pilot dog fights using ships like the x-wings in the original trilogy.

Finally, Lego Star Wars Skywalker Saga focuses on the newest trilogy of films and adds them to the Lego Star Wars lineup. These are also pretty fun to play with, especially if you have a young sibling or child you can enjoy them with together.
