A 40k Primarch Comes to life: The Pale Spear of Alpharius

Pale Spear feature rAttention Warhammer, the Pale Spear of Alpharius is no longer just a fictional weapon! Check out how it was crafted and brought to life.

Man at Arms: Reforged does all kinds of amazing projects over on Youtube where they bring tons of awesome weapons to life from the fictional realms. They have a few Warhammer fans on staff, so this isn’t the first build they’ve done like this.

Their last build for Warhammer was making a working chainsword, so you know they know what’s up! This time they are taking things to the Horus Heresy age and going big. You can check out the video below or check out our highlights of the project.

GrindingAfter some serious grinding, you can really start to see it taking shape.

Staff for spearIt’s pretty amazing that they grind such precision lines into the metal.

Flaming spearHey, why not get some great shots of this on fire?

Blackening the bladeTo get a nice antique finish on the blade they blacken it so it doesn’t look too new.

Spray paintingIt couldn’t be a real Warhammer blade without some spray paint thrown in!

Acid WashAn acid wash gets off all the grease and excess so you can really see the beauty of the metal.

AssemblyThey even made this so it could be disassembled for cleaning and put back together easily.
