A Full Painted Dark Angels Chapter From the Past!

Dark Angel Army Feature rWith the new supplement arriving for the Dark Angels, we wanted to show off a whole classic painted Dark Angels Chapter to get you inspired!

This is fairly old judging from the models, but we had never remembered seeing it when we showcased it a few years ago. Games Workshop had the Ultramarines chapter deal in the White Dwarf for a while, (and even thew in a pewter Thunderhawk model if you bought it all) but that was the only large-scale mustering of models we remember seeing from back then.
This was one by Games Workshop Italy for their Gamesday, somewhere in the early 2000s.
Regardless, this lost nugget of history is still awesome to see, and very inspiring to boot! Hopefully, this gets your creative juices flowing for your new minis!

A Full Painted Dark Angels Chapter From the Past!

dark angels legion paintedEven though these are from almost 20 years ago, it is still pretty amazing to see! Just look at how many minis are there, it seems pretty wild to see this many Dark Angels actually painted on one table.
We can only imagine just how long this took to get painted up. Even if you had a whole army of people working on this, to get them all to this standard could take forever.

Looking at this display really gives you an idea of just how big a Chapter is and that most battles are a tiny representation of what a real battle could be.

Even though these are the old style minis, it is still really cool to see so many put on one table. Hopefully, this gets you inspired to get like 40 minis painted, and hey at least you don’t have to paint this many! And if you do, well, we’ll call those first legion world problems- get it?
Do you like seeing the full Chapters displayed? Will you be starting a new Dark Angels army with the new supplement?
