A Billion Suns is Mike Hutchinson’s follow-up to Gaslands, check out how you can play space battles with any minis you want!
If you ever played Gas Lands, you have an idea about how the follow-up will play. Fun rules, fast gameplay, and any minis you want! If you have some intergalactic starships laying around, all you need is the book, a ruler, some dice, and a deck of cards to play.
The concept for his games is really cool, play a game with any minis you have, no matter who they’re from. If you’re tired of chasing a meta and always trying to grab the newest minis, this is a breath of fresh air! Basically, this is a game that won’t break the bank and you can change your forces up every game!
A Billion Suns:
A Billion Suns is a wargame of interstellar combat that puts you in command of fleets of powerful starships, from squadrons of agile, but fragile, fighters, to hulking and powerful capital ships. Choose your vessels from pre-existing classes then customize them to create your own sub-classes, each with their own strengths, weaknesses, and armament, from accurate torpedoes to devastating macro-cannon. Using simple dice pool mechanics, you must carefully manage your resources and seize the opportunities that come your way in order to lead your fleet to victory and assert your dominance over the stars.
All you need is some minis, this book, and some standard gaming supplies to get to battle! The game looks like it will be really fun to play and if it’s anything like Gas Lands, we know it’ll be a blast. The game uses simple dice pool mechanics where you have to manage your resources to take advantage of your opportunities to take the victory.
That does it for this one! We’re excited to try out the new game and get some space battles in!
