Games Developer

codex drukhari collectorYou will be working with the Product Developer and Warhammer 40k Studio Manager to develop and deliver a vision for the future of the Warhammer 40k games system, while managing the Games Development team to deliver that vision, and writing world-class rules and gaming material yourself. You will also be managing and developing relationships with the global Warhammer 40k community and our playtest teams.

You will be a creative and passionate ambassador for the Warhammer 40k game, working productively with your colleagues and leading them with drive and enthusiasm.

We know what makes this job hard is curating and developing an entire game system through a relentless release schedule while developing the systems and processes required to produce world-class rules content.  However, this is a challenge that you will relish!

They don’t really add in the requirements for this one, but we’re assuming they want someone with some serious background in game development. They even say this is a senior position for their biggest brand, so it’s going to be tough for sure! Still, if you feel like you have the skills, then you better get in there. And if you have the chops to keep the game running well and balanced, then we want you in there too!

Working at GW

At Games Workshop we are looking for people who will do their best to understand the needs of the company and to put those needs first when they are at work. Because of this, we believe that what you are like, hence the attitude you show to work and the way you choose to behave is even more important than your skills or experience.

The Warhammer World site is based just outside of Nottingham city centre and benefits from a nearby tram stop and free onsite car parking.

In return for your hard work, you will receive 33 days holiday per year (including public holidays), matching contributory pension scheme up to 7.5%, profit share bonus (subject to GW meeting profit targets) and option to join our Share Save scheme. Oh and let’s not forget, a staff discount of between 25% and 50% on our products!

Looks like a great opportunity for someone to help make the game we love that much better!

Will you be applying for this? Do you think you could take the game to new heights?
